Your club GAA training covers a lot, but it's only 4-5 hours per week. That leaves 160+ hours where you either gain an edge on others…or you don’t.

My 1-1 coaching programme, 9 m/s Club, exists to fill that gap properly for Gaelic players. Speed is the one quality that can bring you to the next level.

And unless you’ve come from an athletics background, most players have never trained it properly. Which means there’s massive room to improve.

PERFORMANCE PROFILING

I'll test your speed, body composition, strength, power and fitness to identify the weakest links limiting your pace. I'll build your S&C plan to go after these areas.

SPEED SYSTEM

Learn exactly which exercises, drills & speed sessions will make you faster off the mark, bouncier on your feet and hit consistently higher top speeds. I'll fit your speed work around team training.

EXPLOSIVE POWER PROGRAMME

To build lean muscle, strength and explosive power and turn you into a physically dominant athlete who looks forward to collisions on the field. We'll also address mobility issues or niggles.

GAME-SPECIFIC CONDITIONING

Depending on what you need, you'll get endurance sessions for the field or off-feet conditioning work to get leaner or fitter while saving the legs.

Testing on speed, body comp, power, fitness, strength & mobility every 8 weeks, so you know what’s improving, what’s weak, and where you should be focusing next. Most club players go their full careers without ever doing this level of testing.

GAME-SPECIFIC CONDITIONING

You'll get running sessions that will make you fitter for pre-season training, whether it's already started back or not. Plus off-feet conditioning if you need to get leaner or fitter while saving the legs.

I’ve won three Offaly SFC titles as a player with Tullamore. I worked as a GAA correspondent in the national media for seven years and wrote my first book in 2022.
